PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The power-steering pump pressurizes the hydraulic fluid that helps the driver turn the steering wheel. Signs of steering-pump failure include leaks, noises or decreased assistance while steering. The immediate loss of power assist is more likely a sign of a broken drive belt or the loss of steering fluid.
- Where applicable, replace the Power Steering Reservoir or clean the internal filter Completely flush the system with an OE approved Power Steering Fluid prior to installation (the correct type of fluid is noted on the reservoir cap or in your owner's manual). Flushing the system is critical to prevent system contamination and failure
- Ensure that the power steering pump is well bleed before starting the engine, it should be bleed 15 times to the right and 15 times to the left, ensuring there's no air in the system anymore, also the 2 front tyres can be removed for easy installation.
- A replacement Power Steering Pump can whine or make noise until air is purged from the fluid. Bleed the system during installation to prevent noise and extend the life of the steering components
